Flavorful appetizer or a quick snack! It’s one of those recipes that impresses people but is incredibly easy to pull off
I came across this idea in one of the cooking magazines and loved it! I served this as a appetizer when my friend came over for dinner and we both loved it. You can make the sauce a few hours in advance, just keep it in the fridge. Love the parsley flavor in the sauce, it’s so fragrant yet delicate. I think I will try adding some basil next time!
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
1/2 French baguette, sliced
1 egg yolk
2 garlic cloves
Handful of fresh flat-leave parsley leaves
Salt
Pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
Broil baguette sliced in a pre-heated oven for about 8-10 minutes, until lightly toasted. In the meantime, make the sauce. In a food processor or chopper, blend egg yolk, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and parsley. Season to taste and pour over crostini. Enjoy
What a lovely simple yet tasty snack.
